Review: Yes, Over The Moon was on the Netflix list, and because of how good it is, it’s on this list too.

No joke, Over the moon is one of the most colorful and breathtaking animations of 2020. While the animated film starts out as a childish mission to the moon, its real tale is about the desolation caused by personal loss. The film skilfully draws parallels between the lives of its two main characters to show how we’re never alone even during the worst pain of our lives.

Why You Should Watch: Amazing Soundtrack, Good Storyline, Beautiful Animation.

Why You Might Skip: Predictable

5. Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge

Review: Mortal Kombat Legends is legitimately one of the best action animated movies of 2020. The film is a true love letter to both old and new generation Mortal Kombat fans. And it captures why we all love the MK franchise so much.

Mortal Kombat Legends sees the Legend, Hanzo Hasashi (also known as Scorpion), seeking vengeance for the murder of his clan and family.

But while Scorpion searches for the man responsible for ruining his life, his quest leads him to the fighting tournament called Mortal Kombat. To get his Revenge, Hanzo must compete in single combat against the best fighters from Earth Realm and Outworld. Winner takes all. Read Our Full Review

Why You Should Watch: Nostalgic, Amazing Action Scenes, Good Storyline,

4. Harley Quinn: The Animated Series Season 2

Review: Harley Quinn is a criminally underrated show that follows the Joker’s former sidekick as she tries to become a big-time villain on her own.

The second season of this incredible series was every bit as crazy and hilarious as the first. And it saw Harley finally take the leap of faith to date her best friend and partner, Poison Ivy. Although, she only got to this point after almost handing the world over to Darkseid (twice).

However, the show doesn’t forget about our Heroes. And for the first half of the season, we follow Batman as he struggles to protect Gotham, while his body recovers from last season’s events.

If you still haven’t seen this show, please, for the love of God, fix that right now. It’s really good.

Why You Should Watch: Hilarious, Entertaining, Amazing Characters

Why You Might Skip: Intense Violence

3. The Croods: A New Age

Review: Even with its all-star voice cast, The Croods 2 has no right to be as good as it is. Not only The animated movie was Hilarious and Unpredictable, but it was also a crazy adventure that was every bit as fun you can imagine.

The Croods 2 sees the prehistoric family discover a paradise island while searching for a safer habitat. However, to use the island’s resources, The Croods must learn to live alongside The Bettermans. An Evolved but self-righteous family who believe they’re better than the Croods in every way.

Why You Should Watch: Entertaining, Incredibly Funny,

Review: Calling Wolfwalkers one of the most touching animated movies of 2020, would be a serious understatement.

Rooted in Norse Magic, this beautiful animation sees a young girl called Robyn, journey with her father to Ireland to help wipe out the last wolf pack. However, everything changes when Robyn befriends a free-spirited girl from a mysterious tribe with the ability to transform into wolves by night.

While Wolfwalkers is very much about breaking free from gender roles, what makes the animation special is how it focuses on the bond between its two protagonists and their respective parent. And through the magical story of Robyn and Mebh, Wolfwalkers shows the extent people (and even children) will go to protect the ones they love.

Why You Should Watch: Touching Storyline, Great animation, Awesome Soundtrack

Review: “Life is a journey, not a destination.”

Soul is an incredible animation that sees a middle-school band teacher rediscover what it means to be alive.

When we first meet Joe (the band teacher), he’s more than obsessed with getting a big break in his music career. But when he dies unexpectedly, Joe finds himself in a realm where he has to help another soul find their passion. This task leads Joe through an amazing journey where he discovers that there’s more to life than finding your spark.

What’s amazing about Soul is how the animation challenges our perception of our purpose on earth. And through its story, the movie reminds us that while discovering our talent is important, the whole point of living is to experience every facet of life and live it to its fullest.

While they were several incredible cartoons in 2020, Soul is definitely the best animation of the year. Well done, Pixar, well done.

Why You Should Watch: Amazing Storyline, Great Storytelling, Deep Message
